A Note From The Photographer

I have always loved photography. My first SLR was a college graduation gift. During the last couple of years, it has become even more of a hobby .... meaning that I have been taking even more photos ...for more than just my extended family. I really enjoy "making" photos for families that they will cherish the rest of their lives. Time goes by too quickly for us not to have the photos to help us remember (at least I really need the photos ...'cause my memory is shot:).

In the last couple of years, I have taken photography classes through various places (including a professional studio) and also a photoshop class through another. I have then learned even more through practice, practice, and more practice. And, most importantly, I really enjoy all this photography "art"!

What do I charge? A one hour (single family, maternity, newborn, senior, or whatever you want pics of) photo shoot costs $150. (I can also do a "mini-session" for a half hour of shooting.) That money covers my time, my talent (if I can call it that:), and my investment in my equipment and my education. I shoot with a Canon 5d camera and Canon "L" lens. What does that mean to you? A full frame sensor in my camera and professional glass that make a big difference in the quality of your photos.

For $150, you will also receive a set of 4X6 prints in an album with a cd of high resolution images. You can then make prints yourself. I will spend a few hours editing your photos, so it does take up to a couple weeks to get your photos back after a shoot. I will make some images in different finishes such as aged, sepia, texture, and B&W. But, if you decide youwant something in a finish I didn't make, I am always willing to do that. Also, I can help you with print ordering, if you would like. (And, YES, "where" you print also makes a big difference in the quality of your photos. Please make the extra effort to develop your prints on professional Kodak paper...at least). I do have an account with a professional printing company and I am happy to order through there for you. Otherwise your best local prints are made through Costco.

Call me and we can chat about what you want out of your family photos. You can pick a location (within Gilbert & Mesa area) that will suit the type of photography that you like. I know it's a type of art, so what one family likes for a background, another might not. Call me ~ I'd love to "shoot" your family and make some photos for you to treasure for the rest of your life! It's an investment you'll never regret.
